The Emmys, and ceremonies like it, have always been dictated by higher powers, assumingly a board of rich (mostly) white guys in Hollywood who say who gets what. But this is one of those times where I agree with Frank Underwood’s sentiment of democracy being overrated. If it was down to the public vote, we’d have best drama series going to shows like Arrow and Adam Sandler getting an acting Oscar for films like Sandy Wexler.
