Oh we do like to be beside the seaside! Brighton is a lovely city, which is only about an hour south of London by train. The beautiful and modern seaside resort is the perfect place for a visit this spring or summer time. My Student Style has provided you with some truly unique places to visit while you are there.
+ British Airways i360
Taking you to new heights in Brighton is the i360, which is the world’s tallest moving observation tower. You can explore Brighton from a whole different point of view – 138 metres in the air to be precise! If you are off for a little trip to the seaside this spring then this is an experience not to be missed. You can admire 360o views brought to you by the creators of the London Eye, Marks Barfield Architects. The i360 also includes a bar so that you can enjoy a drink in style!
Calling all chocoholics out there; this idyllic little café is the perfect place to indulge your sweet cravings. Set in the backstreets of Brighton, this chocolate heaven is a hidden gem. Downstairs, you have a labyrinth of decadent chocolate cakes, Easter bunnies and lots of small treats; while upstairs is a café. It is the perfect place to stop after a long shopping trip in the town centre.
+ The Old Police Cells Museum
This quirky museum is housed in the basement of Brighton Town Hall and offers an interesting insight into the history of Sussex Police. It is only open between 1 April and 31 October, but is fully worth the wait. It is also reportedly haunted and several ghost investigations are often held there. My Student Style would advice a spooktacular visit to the old cells!
+ Ghost Walk of The Lanes
If you really want to scare yourself silly, why not go for a spooky ghost walk in Brighton? Enjoy a insightful and spooky walk of Brighton’s notorious Lanes. As the original fishing settlement of Brighthelmstone, it is the oldest part of the city and also, reportedly the most haunted.
+ The Buccaneer
Set right on the seafront, this licenced café is the perfect place to indulge on classic Fish and Chips or simply to enjoy seafood and wine in the sunshine. It has a wartime feel with old propaganda on the walls, including a very patriotic image of Former Wartime Prime Minister, Churchill. If you are looking for a place to relax with sea views and a classic British wartime feel then this place is perfect.
That about wrap things up! If you are visiting Brighton or decide to plan a last minute trip then be sure to take a look at these unique places! Let us know if you find anything new and exciting to add to the list too!
